Shivani Taylor is the primary teacher and director of Shanti Om Yoga Studios. In 1988, she moved into Shoshoni Yoga Retreat and became a full-time yogini.  She lived and studied Yoga & meditation there and at the Eldorado Mountain Yoga Ashram in Colorado for 10 years with
HH Rishi Maha Mandaleshwar Sri Shambhavananda. She became certified to teach Shambhava Yoga in 1991 from the Yoga Institute of Colorado, and is registered with the Yoga Alliance at the 500 hour level. but Shivani has taught well over 10,000 class hours. She arrived in Houston, PA in 1998 and opened the Yoga Studio here. Her life centers around sharing with others the inner strength & contentment she has found through her practice & lifestyle of Yoga

Annette Dashofy originally came to Yoga to find relief from chronic back pain and  not only alleviated her back pain but discovered a major reduction in stress. She has studied with Shivani since 1998 and has become a very popular teacher. She brings the joy and enthusiasm of her Yoga practice, as well as a sense of humor to the classroom. Annette served for three years as the President of the Yoga Training Association of Pittsburgh and now spends the other major part of her professional life writing mystery novels.

Tara Gump began taking classes here in 1999 and in 2000 became a student of HH Rishi Mahamandaleshwar Sri Shambhavanada. Tara completed a mentoring program with Shivani in 2004 and began teaching adults and kids classes at the Yoga Center and a local elementary school. In addition, she taught fellow classmates at the Shadyside School of Nursing where she has recently completed her nurse training.  Forever grateful, Tara delights in integrating the perspective gained through her yoga practice with the lessons and experiences gained throughout the whole of her life.
