Anyone and everyone can practice Yoga! Shanti Om Yoga Studios opened here in April 1998 (as Shambhava Yoga Center) and enjoys a good reputation teaching new students as well as retaining a strong group of long-timers. Hatha Yoga is a life-enhancing aspect of Yoga which explores varying physical movements to improve your strength, flexibility, balance, breathing and ability to deeply relax. After practicing for a while, students find they get sick less often, sleep better, handle stress with more ease, have happier moods and lower blood pressure and an increased sense of overall well-being. Hatha Yoga will not interfere with your religion; it is an awareness-based lifestyle which many feel have expanded their own beliefs. However, the Shambhava Yoga style can also accommodate those students wanting to go spiritually deeper into their Yoga practice with meditation and other traditional practices. Students are always encouraged to participate at their own comfort level. Our teachers have experience; Shivani with 20 years and Annette with 9 years. Please let us know your needs. Namaste, Om Shanti.

"I have been a Yoga student for several years, and I feel blessed to take classes at Shanti Om Yoga Studio. I feel welcome, challenged, and safe. From the opening announcements to the closing "Shanti"(peace) chant, I am surrounded by warmth and gentleness. The instructors encourage me to try new poses, as well as standard ones, to reach beyond what I think I can do. They vary classes to capture my interest and keep me challenged. Most importantly, they don't let me hurt myself. As a Type A personality, I sometimes try to do things I shouldn't, but Shivani and company make sure that I avoid strained muscles and a torn ego. Thank you, Shivani, Annette, and Tara, for teaching us so well." - Judy W.since ’99
